25 years later

Ok, maybe not that long, but it feels like forever and a day ago I found my dream hutch and had big, big plans for it! I read all of these blogs where these people do stuff like this over night. I don't get it. Do they not have kids? Is painting furniture their job? I know this for sure, this will NEVER be my job and I will NEVER paint another big piece of furniture like this again!

I apologize for the pictures. Our dining room is in the middle of our house, so we don't have any direct light coming in. This is mostly why I hate this room and have struggled with trying to pull it together since we moved in. The walls have been painted three times in the last 5 years!

I will try and do a post tomorrow on the two of us tackling the chevron pattern on the back!

Now to pull out all of that china that has been stored away for a few months....that is a whole new project!

Hello! Visiting via Better After. Great piece! Looks so elegant! I do know what you mean though, I have no clue how some folks do these jobs in one day or one weekend! I'm doing a piece for my daughters room and I swear it's the last large piece I'll do (for a while anyway). TFS Have a great weekend!

Hello Amy - I agree with you, it seems I get projects done at a turtle's pace as well. Visiting from Better After and just wanted to stop in and tell you the beautiful job you did. 25 years - worth the wait! :-)
