His actual birthday party was an Angry Bird theme.

So, we had a little bit of a snow storm come through last week. I need at least one good snow storm a season and then my quota is met. For the record, I am good to go and Spring can now make an appearance!
I am a terrible mom and I don't tell the kids about any weather that may interrupt school. It makes them anxious and they ask 50 more questions (on top of the other 50 questions). They also get up even earlier than is humanly possible on these possible snow days. Unfortunately, they both talk about weather at school and the other kids with weather-talking mom's talk to them about the snow.
This was just before bedtime. At this point, they still hadn't closed schools yet!
This is what we woke up to! Jack came into my room and whispered in my ear, "You can't see the grass, I don't think we have school today!". Little did he know, there was 18 inches of snow waiting for him!
We kept ourselves busy cooking, playing outside and playing board games (and not brushing our hair).
(Thank goodness UVA Basketeball pulled through, that would have been a little embarrassing!)
A moment later 2 plow trucks actually got stuck here.
